- The oil level in the hydraulic tank is dropping
Oil spraying from a hose? Switch off the hydraulic drive and don't touch the jet: oil under pressure can pierce the skin.

What we do on site
We replace damaged hydraulic hoses on site: we match the hose and fittings, crimp them on site, fit the hose, top up the oil and check for leaks under pressure.
Roadside repair limits
- We can't make a hose with unusual fittings on site without matching fittings: send a photo and we will check before we set off.
- Repairing the hydraulic pump or the control valve needs a workshop repair.

Tipper and lorry loader crane hydraulics
Symptoms
- The tipper body won't rise or drops by itself
- The loader crane works slowly, jerks or has no lifting power
- The power take-off or pump won't engage
- Leaks from the cylinders, control valve or hoses
The tipper body or boom drops by itself? Don't stand under it and stop working until the system has been checked.

What we do on site
We check the power take-off, pump, control valve, cylinders and hoses. We replace the hoses and seals that can be reached on site, top up the oil, bleed the system and check how it works under load.
Roadside repair limits
- Reconditioning cylinders, the pump or the control valve needs a workshop repair.
- Repairing the boom structure or the frame needs a workshop repair. We don't do frame welding.

- A photo of the crane's or tipper's plate (make, model)
- A recording of the tipper body or crane working
Questions and answers
Can you make a new hydraulic hose on site?
Yes. We match the hose and fittings, crimp them on site and fit the hose. Send a photo of both ends of the old hose and we will check before we set off that we have matching ones.
Do you repair the hydraulics of tippers and lorry loader cranes?
Yes: the power take-off, pump, control valve, cylinders and hoses. Reconditioning cylinders, the pump or the control valve needs a workshop repair.
